When a memory
becomes a trace.
Memory Sticks explores how technology can give permanence to intangible memories. LiDAR scans, photographs and recordings capture places of personal significance in the UK and Asia.
Scanning speeds reflect familiarity with each location. Songs and recordings of family and friends collected across twenty years are layered and reversed, echoing the distortions of recollection. The resulting film becomes part of a physical installation.
