Small choices.
System-wide effects.
Greenopolis is an environmental learning application designed for children aged 8–13. It introduces sustainability through interactive learning, a city decision game and a quiz.
Rather than presenting environmental facts in isolation, the City Challenge asks players to balance the planet, money, jobs and wellbeing. Hand-drawn graphics, health bars, sound effects and awards make decisions visible and rewarding.

The original front-end city game and learning pages run here. The original quiz page can also be viewed. It displays an availability message because its PHP/MySQL service requires separate backend hosting.
Under the surface
A connected
learning journey.
The Home, Learn, City Challenge and Quiz sections create a progression from exploration to application and recall. JavaScript handles the game decisions, layered content and visual feedback.
In the original project, PHP endpoints exchange JSON with the quiz and a MySQL database stores questions and scores. That backend is separate from the static portfolio presentation.
